What does SOC 2 certification mean?

SOC 2, or System and Organization Controls, is the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ (AICPA) brainchild. It is an auditing standard that helps to access data security related to the cloud-based storage of customer data. So, it will be applied mostly to SaaS companies and cloud vendors.

In addition, SOC 2 compliance means following efficient security practices for intrusion detection, data loss prevention, unauthorized access, intrusion detection, and other incidents.

There are two types of SOC 2 compliant reports:

Type 1: The SOC 2 Type 1 report affirms that the organization uses compliant processes and systems at a specific time.

Type 2: The SOC 2 Type 2 report affirms that the organization uses compliant processes and systems over a period of time.

The report shows the efficiency of our data security practices that covers five trust service principle (TSPs): Security, Availability, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, and Privacy.

Privacy: Our data collection, storage, processing, and disclosure of any information adhere to the standards defined by AICPA.
